May 6 Patch Notes: QoL, Balancing & Bug Fixes

Patch Notes — Item Market Filters, Stock Market Stability & QoL

A packed update — read on for everything that landed.

Item Market — Advanced Filters

The Item Market now has two new filter dropdowns alongside the existing search and sort: Rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic) and Equippable Type (Weapon, Armour, Helmet, Gloves, Belt, Necklace, Special). Filter by either, or stack both at once — and they apply to every listing on the market, not just the page you're looking at. Pagination, search, and sort all preserve your filter selection.

Player Search — More Filters

The Search Players page picked up a fresh set of filters too:

  • Online players
  • Active in the last 24 hours
  • Players without a Family — great for recruiting
  • Hide Jail / Hospital / Travelling

Rackets — Strength Requirements Reduced

All racket strength requirements have been reduced by 30%, from Corner Store all the way up to Media Corporation. If a racket was just out of reach, take another look — chances are you can run it now.

We also clarified something that wasn't obvious before: the Strength check uses your base Strength only. Equipment bonuses, perks, and temporary buffs do not count toward unlocking a racket. The chips now read Base STR X+ so there's no ambiguity, the error message spells it out if you fail the check, and we added a Requirements section to the How Rackets Work guide.

Stock Market — Duplication on Buy/Sell Fixed

A nasty race condition was allowing duplicate entries to appear in player portfolios when buy requests landed close together. We've added a database-level guard so it cannot happen again, merged any existing duplicates into single weighted-average positions, and rewrote the buy logic to be atomic. Selling has also been hardened against any leftover edge cases.

Chat Notifications on Mobile

The chat icon at the top right on mobile now lights up when there's a new Family chat message waiting.

Bloodline Perk Labels Fixed

Four Bloodline perks were displaying their effect as All Combat when they actually buffed a specific stat or even all 4 stats. The labels now correctly show Strength, Defence, Dexterity, or Agility so you know exactly what you're picking up.

Visuals & Layout

Chat tabs got a clean-up — gold underlines. On mobile, the Energy / Stamina / Nerve / Health bars take up less vertical space, leaving more room for the actual panel content underneath - only a row more specifically. Small tweak, may be less noticeable to small screens - we're assessing how else we can make the mobile experience even better including rotation.

Backspace Bug — Mobile

A handful of Android keyboards (Gboard, Samsung, Fossify, F-Droid keyboards) were possibly silently eating backspace presses inside text inputs. We've added a robust fallback. If you've been suffering through this — give it another go - any issues, please feed back. Ensure you test after hard refreshing or reloading the app before seeing if it works - same sessions stay stale and won't see this change otherwise.
