Economy
Are there fees on stock trades?
Yes. Stock trades are subject to a 1% fee on buys and a 3% fee on sells. Both fees are calculated on the gross trade value and shown in the live preview before you confirm. The fees are removed from circulation as a money sink to keep the in-game economy stable. Your average buy price is based on the share cost (not fees), so the profit you see when selling reflects pure market movement.
How do I earn Mafia Gold for free?
Mafia Gold can be earned free through:

• Selling loot items to The Fence in the Black Market
• Winning PvP fights (+1-3 gold per win)
• Killing district bosses (scales with boss difficulty)
• Earning District Mastery tiers (Bronze +10, Silver +25, Gold +75, Platinum +200)
• Vaulting Collection sets (+5-50 gold per vault)
• Completing Syndicate Pass missions
• Battle Pass tier rewards
What is The Fence?
The Fence is the second tab in the Black Market. Sell any unequipped item from your inventory for Mafia Gold. Price is based on item quality: Common = 1, Uncommon = 3, Rare = 10, Epic = 30, Legendary = 80 gold. Use The Fence to turn junk crime loot into gold for better gear.
What is the Black Market?
The Black Market is an underground dealer offering consumables and limited-supply items. Each player has personal purchase limits per item to keep the economy fair. Stock and pricing are tuned by staff — once you hit your personal limit on an item, you must wait before buying more. The Fence (sell items for Mafia Gold) is also accessed through the Black Market panel.
How does the Bank work?
Deposit cash into the Bank to protect it. Cash in your wallet can be lost — cash in the Bank is safe. Your Bank starts with a $1,000,000 cap at Level 1. Upgrade your vault with Mafia Gold to increase the cap up to $50,000,000 at Level 10. You can also transfer cash to other players through the Bank for a 2% fee. The Bank earns daily interest on your balance — upgrade your Mansion's Vault Room to increase the interest rate.
What are Rackets?
Rackets are businesses you extort for daily passive income. Each racket has a tier that determines how much it pays. Collect from your rackets regularly — uncollected income sits in the vault up to a cap.
What are Properties?
Real Estate lets you buy properties across the city. Each property generates hourly income deposited into its vault. Collect it before the vault fills. Higher-tier properties cost more but generate significantly more income.
What is the Stock Market?
Buy and sell shares in fictional companies. Prices fluctuate in real time. Buy low, sell high to earn cash profits. Losses are possible — never invest more than you can afford to lose.
What is the Player Market?
Trade items directly with other players. List any item from your inventory for a cash price. Browse other players' listings and buy what you need. Great for finding items that aren't in the shops.
How should I earn money at each stage?
Your best income source changes as you progress:

🟢 Early Game (Level 1-10): Downtown crimes + Street Dealer career shifts. Deposit everything into the Bank.

🔵 Mid Game (Level 10-25): Unlock The Docks and The Strip for better crimes. Buy your first property. Start smuggling between districts for profit.

🟣 Late Game (Level 25-50): Higher-tier rackets and properties generate meaningful passive income. Careers become your best XP source. Smuggling with full capacity is your best cash-per-action.

🟡 Endgame (Level 50+): Multiple income streams running simultaneously — crimes for active cash, careers for XP, rackets and properties for passive income, smuggling for big runs, and territory control for Family buffs.
What is the Bank vault upgrade path?
Your Bank starts at Level 1 with a $1,000,000 cap. Upgrade with Mafia Gold to increase your cap:

Level 1: $1M cap
Level 2: $2M (50 Gold)
Level 3: $5M (100 Gold)
Level 4: $10M (200 Gold)
Level 5: $15M (400 Gold)
Level 6: $20M (600 Gold)
Level 7: $25M (800 Gold)
Level 8: $30M (1,000 Gold)
Level 9: $40M (1,500 Gold)
Level 10: $50M (2,000 Gold)

Cash in the Bank is protected. Cash in your wallet is at risk. Upgrade early and deposit often.
Basics
What is The Fifth Family?
The Fifth Family is a browser-based mafia strategy game. You start as a low-level street thug and work your way up through crimes, fights, district mastery, boss battles, and family warfare to become the most powerful Don in the city.
What are the main currencies?
There are three currencies:

💵 Cash — Earned from crimes, careers, properties, and rackets. Used for most in-game purchases.

🪙 Mafia Gold — The premium earn currency. Earned free through PvP wins, boss kills, district mastery, collection vaults, Syndicate missions, and selling loot to The Fence. Spent at the Black Market.

💎 Platinum — The top-tier currency purchased with real money. Used for the Platinum Store, loot boxes, vigilante packs, and gym speedups.
What are Vitality, Energy, Nerve and Stamina?
These are your four core resources that regenerate over time:

❤️ Vitality — Your health in combat. Depleted when you lose fights or get injured.

⚡ Energy — Used for Gym training (10 Energy per routine).

🧠 Nerve — Used to commit crimes. Each crime costs a set amount of Nerve.

💪 Stamina — Used for PvP fights and boss battles.
How do I level up?
You earn XP from crimes, fights, gym training, smuggling, careers, and casino wins. The XP curve starts fast — you will hit Level 2 within minutes — and gradually gets steeper. Higher levels unlock harder crimes, new districts, and stronger bosses.
What is the New Player Tutorial?
When you first register, The Underboss guides you through 10 steps covering crimes, gym training, inventory, profile, the Black Market, and careers. Completing the tutorial earns you the Soldier's Welcome Pack: $5,000 cash, 50 Mafia Gold, a full starter gear set, and 16 consumables.
Crimes
How do crimes work?
Each district has 6 unique crimes. Click a crime card to attempt it — it costs Nerve and takes a few seconds. Success earns cash and XP. Failure can send you to jail. Higher crimes require you to own specific items before you can attempt them.
What is Crime Heat?
Every successful crime builds Heat (shown as a %). High heat reduces your crime cash payout. Heat decays naturally over time, or you can use a Police Scanner consumable to reduce heat gain. Failing a crime resets your heat to 0 but sends you to jail.
What are the districts and their crimes?
The city has 7 districts, each with unique crimes, loot tables, and progression gates:

• Downtown — Starting district (Lv 0)
• The Strip — Lv 10
• The Docks — Lv 25
• Arms District — Lv 35
• Underground — Lv 50
• Penthouse — Lv 75
• Waterfront — Lv 90

Higher districts are harder but pay better and have stronger loot tables. Some crimes require specific items to attempt.
What are item-gated crimes?
Higher crimes require you to own specific items before the button unlocks. The crime card shows which items are needed with a green tick (owned) or red cross (missing). You can find required items in the Fifth Shop, Black Market, or as crime loot drops.
What is Crime Mastery?
Every time you commit a crime you gain mastery XP for that specific crime. Mastery levels from 1 to 5 (or 3 in Downtown). Higher mastery increases your success rate by +2% per level. Master all crimes in a district to earn District Mastery.
What is District Mastery?
When all crimes in a district reach max mastery, you earn a District Mastery tier: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum. Each tier gives a permanent cash bonus on crimes in that district (+5%/+10%/+15%/+20%) and a cash reward. After each tier, all mastery bars reset — you grind again for the next tier.
What are loot drops from crimes?
Every crime has a chance to drop a random item from its loot pool. Higher-tier crimes drop better quality items. When an item drops, a celebration overlay appears. Loot items go straight to your inventory and can be equipped, sold, or traded.
What are Collection pieces?
While committing crimes you have a 5% chance to find a Collection piece for your current district. Each district has a themed collection of 5-7 pieces. Complete a full set and vault it to earn a permanent stat bonus. You can vault the same collection multiple times with diminishing returns.
Combat
How do PvP fights work?
PvP fights cost 5 Stamina per attack. Combat runs in rounds, with a first-strike check at the start of each round based on AGI advantage (up to 30% chance to strike first).

Each strike resolves in this order:
1. Dodge check — defender AGI vs attacker AGI (5% to 50% tier)
2. Damage roll — attacker STR plus random bonus
3. Block check — defender DEF vs attacker STR (5% to 50% tier)
4. Crit check — attacker DEX vs defender DEX (5% to 50% tier)

Crit damage scales with DEX advantage from 1.3× to 2.5×. Round limits depend on level gap — even matches run 10 rounds, 3×+ gaps end in 2 rounds. Check the Gym's Combat Mastery panel for your live tiers.
What are the four combat stats?
STR — Raw offensive damage and block-breaking power. Determines base damage on every strike.

DEF — Block chance (up to 50%) against incoming STR. Reduces damage taken.

AGI — Dodge chance (up to 50%) plus first-strike chance (up to 30%). AGI is double-duty now: dodge AND initiative.

DEX — Crit chance (up to 50%) and crit damage multiplier (1.3× to 2.5× based on DEX advantage). Pair with crit chance for snowball damage.

All four use the same 13-tier system — your tier is based on your stat ratio against your opponent's. The gym's Combat Mastery panel shows your live tiers.
What are District Boss Fights?
Each district has a powerful named boss. Beat Big Tony Morello in Downtown to unlock The Docks and The Strip. Beat Iron Mike Doyle in The Docks to unlock Arms District, and so on. You need Bronze District Mastery before you can challenge a boss. Losing hospitalizes you and starts a 24-hour cooldown.
What bosses are there and what do they unlock?
"Big Tony" Morello — Downtown — Unlocks The Docks + The Strip
"Lady Luck" Valentina — The Strip — Side boss, no unlock
"Iron Mike" Doyle — The Docks — Unlocks Arms District
"The Colonel" Viktor Petrov — Arms District — Unlocks The Underground
"Ghost" — The Underground — Unlocks The Penthouse
Don Enzo Castellano — The Penthouse — Final boss
What unique items do bosses drop?
Each boss drops a unique item on first kill:
Big Tony — Big Tony's Signet Ring (purple)
Lady Luck — Lady Luck's Loaded Dice (purple)
Iron Mike — Iron Mike's Anchor Chain (purple)
The Colonel — The Colonel's Dog Tags (gold)
Ghost — Ghost's Mask (gold)
Don Enzo — Don Enzo's Crown (gold)
Gear & Inventory
What equipment slots are there?
You have 7 equipment slots:
⚔️ Weapon — increases Strength and Dexterity
🛡️ Armor — increases Defence
⛑️ Helmet — increases Defence and Dexterity
🧤 Gloves — increases Agility and Dexterity
👔 Belt — balanced stats
📿 Necklace — balanced stats

What are item rarities?
Items come in 5 quality tiers:
⚪ Common (grey) — basic starter gear
🟢 Uncommon (green) — early game upgrades
🔵 Rare (blue) — mid game gear
🟣 Epic (purple) — late game power
🟡 Legendary (gold) — endgame best-in-slot

Higher quality items have better stats and cost more Mafia Gold.
What is item durability?
Equipment loses durability through active use in combat, raids, and certain crimes. At low durability, items show a warning icon — at 0 durability, the item still works but you should repair it. Repair costs cash; higher quality items cost more to repair. Items in your inventory (unequipped) do not lose durability passively.
How do I sell items?
You have two ways to sell:

💰 Quick Sell — sell for 40% of cash value directly from inventory

🪙 The Fence — sell for Mafia Gold in the Black Market (better long-term value for grinding gold)
What are consumables?
Single-use items with instant or timed effects:

❤️ Street Doc Kit — restores 50 Vitality
⚡ Adrenaline Shot — restores 25 Energy
⚡ Energy Drink — restores 10 Energy
🧠 Nerve Tonic — restores 10 Nerve
💪 Stamina Drink — restores 20 Stamina

🩹 Basic First Aid Kit — instantly discharges from hospital, restores 25 Vitality
🩺 Combat Medkit — instantly discharges from hospital, restores 50 Vitality
🏥 Underground Surgeon — instantly discharges from hospital, restores full Vitality
What is Item Enhancement?
Enhance equipment to boost its stats. Each enhancement level adds bonus strength, defence, agility, and dexterity on top of the item's base stats. Enhancement costs cash and has a success chance that decreases at higher levels:

+1: 95% success
+2: 90%
+3: 80%
+4: 70%
+5: 55%
+6: 40%
+7: 30%
+8: 20%
+9: 12%
+10: 5%

Failed enhancements lose your cash but the item is not destroyed. Maximum enhancement is +10.
What is Item Repair?
Equipment loses durability through use in combat and crimes. You can repair items from your inventory for a cash cost based on the item's quality and how damaged it is. Keep your gear repaired to maintain peak performance.

What is the Gym?
Train your combat stats at the Gym. Each routine costs 10 Energy and cash, takes time to complete, and permanently increases Strength, Defence, Agility, or Dexterity. There are 6 regimens per stat, each with up to 10 levels — higher regimens give bigger stat gains but take longer and cost more. You must master a regimen before unlocking the next one. Speed up training with Platinum.
What is the Bloodline system?
The Bloodline is a prestige system that gives permanent passive bonuses. Unlock bloodline perks by reaching milestones and spending Bloodline Points earned from key achievements.
What are Achievements?
Achievements are milestones that reward you for reaching goals across every system — crimes committed, fights won, bosses killed, collections completed, and more. Check your profile to see your progress and claim rewards.
What are Leaderboards?
Compete against all players across 8 categories:
📊 Level, 💰 Net Worth, 🎭 Crimes Committed, 👊 Fights Won, 💀 K/D Ratio, 🎰 Casino P/L, 🏅 Respect, 👥 Family Power

Your personal rank is shown at the bottom of each leaderboard.
What is the Recruitment Network?
Invite friends using your unique referral link. When a referred player signs up and reaches milestones, both of you earn rewards including cash, Mafia Gold, and Platinum. Check your referral stats and link in the Recruitment Network panel. The more active referrals you have, the higher your Recruiter Tier climbs — unlocking bigger bonuses.
How does the Syndicate Pass work in detail?
The Syndicate Pass assigns you daily and weekly missions automatically. Missions track actions you're already doing — committing crimes, winning fights, training at the gym, smuggling runs, career shifts, and more. When you complete a mission's target count, it becomes claimable. Click Claim to receive your rewards (cash, XP, Mafia Gold, or Platinum). Unclaimed missions expire — daily missions reset every 24 hours, weekly missions every 7 days.
Families
What are Families?
Families are player groups you can create or join. Being in a family gives you access to the Family HQ, family chat, shared territory bonuses, and the ability to coordinate wars against rival families.
How do I create a Family?
Go to Family HQ and select Create Family. You need a name, tag (2-4 letters), and sufficient funds. As the founder you become the Don and can recruit members, set a message of the day, and manage the family treasury.
What is the Family Treasury?
Members can donate cash to the family treasury. The treasury funds family upgrades and HQ improvements that benefit all members with passive bonuses.
What are Family Ranks?
Families have a rank hierarchy: Associate, Soldier, Capo, Underboss, and Don. The Don can promote and demote members. Higher ranks have more permissions within the family.
What are the Forums?
The in-game Forums let you discuss strategy, recruit for your Family, trade items, and interact with the community. You can create threads, reply to posts, and react to messages. Some forum categories are staff-only for official announcements. BBCode formatting is supported for styled posts.
Travel
How does Travel work?
Travel moves your character between districts. While travelling, you cannot perform active gameplay actions — no crimes, attacks, smuggling, shops, careers, or heists. Travel takes real time and is affected by your chosen method.

The city has 7 districts total. Your current location affects what crimes, markets, shops, and opportunities are available.
How do I unlock new districts?
Districts unlock through a combination of level requirements and boss kills:

• Downtown — starting area (no requirements)
• The Strip — Lv 10
• The Docks — Lv 25
• Arms District — Lv 35
• Underground — Lv 50
• Penthouse — Lv 75
• Waterfront — Lv 90

Some districts also require defeating the previous district boss before travel is permitted.
Do I need a minimum level to travel?
No — level requirements have been replaced with boss kill requirements. You need to defeat the gating boss, not reach a specific level. This means you earn access through gameplay, not just grinding XP.
What are the travel methods?
Two travel methods are available:

• Walk — Free, slower travel time
• Taxi — Faster, costs cash

Private Jet has been discontinued and is no longer usable. Travel Speed career perks (Driver rank bonuses) reduce both walk and taxi times. The Taxi Discount perk lowers taxi cost.

You cannot start or continue heists while travelling. Finish or wait until arrival.
Casino
What casino games are available?
The casino has six games:

🎰 Slots — spin for matching symbols. Mega Jackpot pays 100x.
♠️ Blackjack — beat the dealer to 21 (single-player and multi-seat live tables).
🎡 Wheel of Fortune — daily free spin plus paid spins for cash, XP, items, fragments, or platinum.
🎲 Roulette — bet on numbers, colours, and ranges.
💣 Mines — reveal safe tiles and cash out before hitting a mine.
🟡 Plinko — drop a chip and watch the multipliers.

All casino games use in-game cash only. They award no real-world value and are for entertainment.
Is there a daily loss limit?
Yes. There is a daily casino loss cap that scales with your level. Once you hit the cap, the casino cuts you off for the day. This prevents excessive losses in a single session.
Can I play casino games while jailed or hospitalized?
Yes — the casino is one of the few features available while jailed or hospitalized. It gives you something to do while waiting for your timer to run out.
What are the betting limits?
Minimum bet across all casino games is $100. Maximum bet scales with your level: the higher your level, the more you can wager per game. There is also a daily loss cap that scales with your level — once you hit it, the casino cuts you off for the day. This protects newer players from losing everything.
How does Multiplayer Blackjack work?
Blackjack tables seat multiple players against the same dealer. Each player plays their own hand — hit, stand, double down, or split. Beat the dealer without going over 21 to win. Blackjack (an Ace + 10-value card) pays 3:2. Insurance is available when the dealer shows an Ace.
What is Plinko?
Plinko is a physics-based drop game in the Casino. Drop a ball through pegs and land on a multiplier slot at the bottom. The game runs at 99% RTP (return to player) with 27 different board configurations unlocking as you play. Features include a 19-drop history pill display and a daily loss indicator so you always know your running balance.
Smuggling
How does Smuggling work?
Buy contraband in one district and sell it in another for a profit. Prices fluctuate based on supply and demand — buy where it's cheap, sell where it's expensive. Customs risk increases with the quantity you carry.
What happens if customs catches me?
Getting caught by customs confiscates your contraband and may send you to jail. Higher-value loads carry higher interdiction risk. Use the Smuggling Ops Academy degree to reduce your risk.
What contraband items are there?
Four types of contraband, each with increasing risk and reward:

📄 Counterfeit Passports — $300 base price (low risk)
💎 Uncut Diamonds — $800 base price (medium risk)
🎨 Stolen Artwork — $2,000 base price (high risk)
🔫 Military Munitions — $4,000 base price (highest risk)

Buy in one district where prices are low, travel to another district where the buyer multiplier is high, and sell for profit. Prices fluctuate hourly. Your smuggling capacity starts at 8 items and can be increased through Academy courses.
Vigilantes
What are Vigilantes?
Vigilantes are special operatives that provide passive bonuses. Each vigilante has a star rating from 1 to 5. Higher star ratings mean stronger bonuses.
How do I upgrade Vigilantes?
Collect fragments for a specific vigilante and spend them to upgrade their star rating. Fragments drop randomly from crimes (2% chance), smuggling runs (3% chance), and are guaranteed from boss kills (3 fragments each). You can also buy Fragment Packs from the Platinum Store.
How many fragments do I need?
Star 1 = 3 fragments
Star 2 = 6 fragments
Star 3 = 15 fragments
Star 4 = 30 fragments
Star 5 = 45 fragments
Total to max one vigilante = 99 fragments (~6 weeks free to play)
What Vigilantes are available?
There are multiple Vigilantes you can recruit, each providing a different passive bonus. Vigilante fragments can drop from crimes (2% chance), smuggling runs (3% chance), boss kills (3 guaranteed fragments), and the Wheel of Fortune. You can also buy Fragment Packs from the Platinum Store for guaranteed fragments. Check the Vigilantes panel to see all available operatives and their bonuses.
Emergency Services
What happens when I go to jail?
Failed crimes can send you to jail for a set duration. While jailed you cannot commit crimes, fight, train, or use most game features. You CAN still use the casino. Wait out your sentence, pay bail with cash, or bribe the guard with Platinum to get out early.
What happens when I go to hospital?
Losing a fight badly or getting beaten by a boss can hospitalize you. While hospitalized most gameplay is blocked but the casino remains open. Pay the doctor with cash for immediate discharge.
Can other players bust me out of jail?
Yes. Other players can attempt to bust you out from the Emergency Services panel. The bustin player spends Nerve and has a % chance of success based on their Dexterity and Agility. If they fail, they get jailed themselves. A successful bust frees you instantly.
What activities are blocked while jailed or hospitalized?
Blocked: Crimes, Gym, Fights, Smuggling, Careers, Black Market purchases, Street Intel, Racing, and most gameplay actions.

Allowed: Casino (all games), Vigilantes, Inventory viewing, Mail, Chat, Leaderboards, Profile viewing, Platinum Store.
Collections
What are Collection Sets?
Each district has a themed collection of 5-7 unique pieces that drop randomly from crimes at a 5% rate. Complete a full set and vault it in the Collections panel to earn a permanent stat bonus.
What bonuses do collections give?
Downtown — Hustler's Kit — +3% Crime Success
The Docks — Smuggler's Manifest — +5% Smuggling Profit
The Underground — Evidence File — +5% Str / Def / Agi / Dex
The Strip — High Roller's Collection — +10% Casino Payout
Arms District — Weapons Blueprint Set — +5% Strength
The Penthouse — Don's Archives — +3% All Income
Can I vault a collection more than once?
Yes. You can vault the same collection multiple times for stacking bonuses. Each subsequent vault gives diminishing returns (50%, 25%, 12.5% of the base bonus). There is no maximum — serious grinders can stack significant permanent bonuses over time.
Platinum Store
What is in the Platinum Store?
The Platinum Store has three sections:

💎 Premium Packs — bundles of Platinum, Mafia Gold, VIP days, and exclusive items purchased with real money.

📦 Loot Boxes — spend Platinum for a random item drop. Three tiers (Blue/Purple/Gold) with increasing rarity and quality.

🕵️ Vigilante Packs — spend Platinum for guaranteed vigilante fragments.
What is VIP status?
VIP (Platinum Membership) gives you the following perks:

⚡ +10% faster resource regeneration across all stats
🏋️ -15% Gym training time
💼 +10% Career cash earnings
🏦 2x Bank interest rate
💬 VIP Chat Badge
👑 VIP Profile Badge

VIP days stack — buying multiple packs adds days on top of your existing timer.
What are Loot Box drop rates?
Blue Crate — mostly Common and Uncommon items with a small chance at Rare.
Purple Crate — mostly Rare and Epic items with a small chance at Legendary.
Gold Crate — mostly Epic items with Purple, Gold, and ultra-rare Legendary drops. Blood Diamond has a 0.9% drop rate from Gold Crates.
Careers
What are Careers?
Careers are legitimate cover jobs that earn passive income through shift work. Each career has multiple tiers — complete enough shifts to rank up for higher pay. Having a career also helps maintain your cover story in the city.
How do career shifts work?
Click "Start Shift" on any unlocked career. After the shift timer completes, click "Collect" to receive your pay. Higher ranks earn more per shift. You can only work one career at a time.
Are careers blocked while jailed or hospitalized?
Yes — you cannot start or collect career shifts while jailed or hospitalized.
What exclusive items do careers reward?
Reaching the highest rank (Boss) in a career unlocks an exclusive item you cannot get anywhere else:

🔫 Street Dealer — Street Dealer's Chain
🛡️ Bouncer — Bouncer's Knuckles
🚗 Driver — Driver's Gloves
⚔️ Enforcer — Enforcer's Badge
🎯 Hitman — Hitman's Scope
🧭 Smuggler — Smuggler's Compass
💍 Arms Broker — Arms Dealer's Signet
👑 Kingpin Fixer — Kingpin's Crown (Gold quality — the only gold helmet in the game)

Careers also give double XP compared to other activities, making them the best way to level up.
Street Intel
What is Street Intel?
Street Intel is a high-risk intelligence operation. Send your crew to gather information on rival players or city activities. Success can yield cash, XP, and valuable intel. Failure risks jail or hospital time.
What can go wrong during Street Intel?
Your operation can be compromised. Depending on the complication, you might be jailed, hospitalized, or simply lose the intel fee with nothing to show for it. Higher risk operations have better rewards but more dangerous complications.
Mansion
What is the Mansion?
The Mansion is your personal estate. Upgrade different rooms to earn passive bonuses across every system — faster gym training, better crime cash, reduced heat gain, and more. The higher your mansion level, the stronger your passive advantages.
What rooms can I upgrade?
The Mansion has 8 upgradeable rooms, each with up to 8-10 levels:

🛡️ Vault Room — Better bank interest
🏋️ Private Gym — Faster gym training times
🔬 The Lab — Higher crime success rate
🍷 VIP Lounge — Faster energy regeneration
🩺 Medical Wing — Reduced hospital time (requires Estate Level 2)
⚖️ Legal Office — Reduced jail time (requires Estate Level 2)
🎯 The Armory — Increased attack damage (requires Estate Level 3)
🕵️ Intel Room — Better recon accuracy (requires Estate Level 3)

Higher rooms require a higher Estate Level to unlock. Upgrade costs increase with each level.
Chop Shop & Racing
What is the Chop Shop?
Steal cars during Car Theft crimes and bring them to the Chop Shop. Strip them for parts to sell for cash, or keep them in your Garage for racing. Some cars are worth more intact than chopped.
What is Street Racing?
Race your cars against other players for cash prizes. Each race costs Nerve and uses your car's durability. Repair your car in the Garage between races. Better cars have higher top speeds and win more often.
How does car durability work?
Cars have a durability stat that decreases each time you race. At low durability your car performs worse. Repair your car in the Garage for cash before it breaks down completely. Higher-quality cars are more expensive to repair but have higher base durability.
Bounties
How do Bounties work?
Place a cash bounty on any player's head from the Bounty Board. The minimum bounty is $1,000. The cash is deducted from your wallet immediately. Any player who successfully attacks and defeats the target claims the bounty reward. You can have up to 3 active bounties at a time, and only one active bounty per target.
Can I cancel a bounty?
Yes — you can cancel your own active bounties from the Bounty Board. The bounty reward is refunded to your cash. You cannot cancel bounties placed by other players or Government Bounties.
Trade & Mail
What is The Deal (direct trade)?
The Deal is a face-to-face trade between two players. Both players add items and cash, both lock in, both confirm — only then does the trade execute. Either side can cancel at any point before confirmation. Available from Level 10. The system protects against last-second changes: once you lock, you cannot edit; if the other side edits theirs, both locks reset.
How does Mail work?
Mail is private, threaded, and supports group messages. Open the Mail panel from the side menu. Compose a new message, view your inbox, sent items, or grouped conversations. Threading keeps replies attached to the original message. Group mail lets a small set of players hold a private discussion.
What is The Drop?
The Drop sends a single item to another player as a gift. The recipient can accept or decline within 24 hours; if they decline or time out, the item returns to your inventory. Use The Drop for in-game gifts, alliance gestures, and helping new players. Trading items for real-world money or anything of external value (RMT) is strictly prohibited — see Code of Conduct Section 10.
Why can a trade go to staff review?
Repeated one-sided transfers, unusual asset movement between accounts on the same IP, or trades flagged by our anti-cheat detection may be reviewed by staff. Genuine in-game gifting (helping friends, family donations, alliance support) is permitted and not actioned. Real-Money Trading is — see Section 10 of the Code of Conduct.
Family Wars
What are Family Wars?
Families can declare war on rival families. During an active war, members earn special hit credits for attacking enemy family members, and successful hits contribute to a war score. The winning family gets buffs (XP bonus, stat bonus, or income bonus) for a limited time. Wars are scheduled — your Don/Underboss arranges the matchup.
How do war buffs work?
When your family wins (or is currently winning) a war, all members receive temporary buffs: things like +5% XP, +5% combat damage, or +5% income. These stack with personal perks and run for the duration set when the buff is granted. Buffs are managed in the Family HQ.
Can I attack any rival member during a war?
You can attack as normal, but during a declared war, attacking a member of the rival family awards extra family-war credit and contributes to the war score. The attack rules and cooldowns are the same as standard PvP — see the Combat FAQ.
Blood Bonds
What are Blood Bonds?
A Blood Bond is a pair-up between two players who agree to fight as one. Both players gain shared perks based on the bond level (XP bonus, casino payout, smuggling profit, etc.). Bonds build loyalty over time — the longer you stay bonded, the stronger the perks. Active bonds are visible on your profile.
How do I form a Blood Bond?
Open the Blood Bonds panel and send a request to another player. They accept or decline. Once accepted, the bond is live and the loyalty timer starts ticking. If either party breaks the bond, there is a cooldown before either can bond again, and the breaker is marked as a "betrayer" for a period.
Can I have more than one Blood Bond?
No. Each player can have only one active Blood Bond at a time. This is by design — Blood Bonds are a serious commitment.
What happens if my partner breaks the bond?
If your partner breaks the bond, the bond ends immediately and you lose any active bond perks. Your partner is flagged as a betrayer for a set period and may have a longer cooldown before re-bonding. You can re-bond after a shorter cooldown.
Fight Club
What is Fight Club?
Fight Club is the PvE chapter system. Each chapter is a series of NPC fights with their own difficulty, loot tables, and unique boss encounters. Completing chapters unlocks the next, awards exclusive items, and contributes to achievements.
What are World Bosses?
World Bosses are server-wide raid targets. Every player can attack the same boss, and damage is contributed to a shared pool. When the boss is defeated, rewards are distributed proportionally to each contributor. Top contributors get the rarest drops.
How is World Boss damage calculated?
Each attack deals damage based on your combat stats, gear, perks, and active effects. Your contributed damage is logged. When the boss dies, the loot pool is split with the largest shares going to the highest contributors. Even small contributors typically receive a participation reward.
Referrals
How does the referral system work?
Every player has a unique referral code visible in the Refer Friends panel. Share the code or your referral link with friends; when they sign up using your code and reach key milestones, you both earn rewards. Higher referral tiers grant permanent income bonuses.
What rewards can I earn from referrals?
Referral milestones unlock cash, Mafia Gold, Platinum, and at higher tiers, permanent income perks. Both the referrer and the referee receive rewards as the referee progresses. Self-referral, multi-account referrals, and same-IP referrals are blocked and may result in account action.
Account & Settings
How do I change my username?
Open Settings → Change Username. Username changes have a cooldown between changes and may have a small in-game cost. Choose carefully — the old username may be claimable by other players after a cooldown.
How do I change my password?
Open Settings → Change Password. You will need your current password to set a new one. If you have forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen — a reset email will be sent to your registered address.
How do I enable push notifications?
In the mobile app, push notifications are requested on first launch. To re-enable later, allow notifications in your device settings (iOS: Settings → The Fifth Family → Notifications. Android: long-press the app icon → App Info → Notifications). You can choose which types of in-game events trigger notifications inside the app under Settings.
How do I customise my profile?
Open your profile and tap Edit. You can set an avatar, slogan, bio, and profile background. Privacy toggles let you hide your stats, inventory, or activity from other players. Higher Platinum tiers unlock additional cosmetic options.
How do I delete my account?
Submit a deletion request through Settings, the in-game Support Ticket system, or by emailing [email protected]. Deletion is processed within 30 days; during that window you can cancel by contacting support. After deletion, your data is permanently removed (subject to legal retention for tax/payment records). All Virtual Items and progress are forfeit. See Terms of Service Section 18.
Can I download my data?
Yes — under UK GDPR and equivalent laws you have the right to receive a copy of your personal data. Email [email protected] with subject "Data Subject Request" and we will respond within one month. See Privacy Policy Section 11 for the full list of rights.
Help & Support
How do I open a support ticket?
Open the Support panel from the menu, choose a category (Account, Bug, Payment, Player Report, Other), and submit. Tickets are visible only to you and to staff. Most tickets get a first response within 24–48 hours; serious issues are escalated to Head of Staff or Owner.
How do I report another player?
Use the in-game report function on chat messages, mail, forum posts, or profiles. For serious issues (harassment, doxxing, real-world threats, RMT) open a Support Ticket with the username and any evidence (screenshots, timestamps). Reports are confidential — the reported player does not see who reported them. See Code of Conduct Section 13.
I was muted/jailed/banned — what now?
Moderation actions are logged with a reason visible on your account. For mutes and short restrictions, appeal via Support Ticket. For suspensions, email [email protected] with your username and reason for appeal. Permanent bans have one appeal within 30 days, decided by Head of Staff or Owner. See Code of Conduct Section 18 for what helps (and what hurts) an appeal.
I bought a pack but did not receive it — what now?
Most purchases credit instantly. If you have not received your pack within 5 minutes: (1) close and reopen the app to force a re-sync; (2) check that the payment cleared with Apple, Google, Stripe, or PayPal; (3) if still missing, open a Support Ticket with your transaction ID, store, and approximate purchase time. We will credit the pack manually.
Legal & Privacy
Where can I read the Terms, Privacy Policy and Code of Conduct?
All three documents are linked at the top of this page and at the bottom of every login screen. Direct links: Terms of Service (/tos.php), Privacy Policy (/privacy.php), Code of Conduct (/code-of-conduct.php). Material updates trigger a re-acceptance prompt on next login.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases must be requested through Apple or Google directly — we cannot refund those. For website (Stripe/PayPal) purchases, contact [email protected]. UK and EU consumers have specific statutory rights set out in Terms Section 11. Discretionary refunds for accidental purchases or service errors are reviewed case-by-case. Refunds are not granted for in-game losses (including casino) or purchases substantially consumed.
Are loot boxes and the Wheel of Fortune gambling?
No. They use only in-game Virtual Currency and award only Virtual Items, which have no real-world value. They do not constitute gambling under UK or applicable law. Casino features and the Wheel are for entertainment; daily loss caps and odds disclosures apply where relevant. See Terms of Service Sections 12 and 13.
Why does the game collect my IP and device info?
For security, fraud detection, multi-account detection, and anti-cheat. Automated detection produces alerts and watchlist entries; significant decisions like permanent bans include human staff review. Full details of what we collect and why are in Privacy Policy Sections 2, 3, and 4.
Heists
What are Heists?
Heists are multi-stage push-your-luck jobs that combine big cash rewards with rising risk. You commit Nerve to start, then choose after each stage whether to cash out safely or push on for bigger rewards. Failure at any stage wipes everything earned during that run.
How many heists can I do per day?
You get 6 heist attempts per day. The counter resets at midnight server time. Used attempts appear as grey dots on the heists banner; available attempts show in colour. Plan carefully — the last attempt of the day should not be impulsive.
How does push-your-luck work?
After clearing a stage, you get two choices:

• Cash Out — Bank what you've earned so far, run ends safely
• Push On — Continue to the next stage, reward multiplies, failure chance rises

If you fail at any stage, you lose everything from that run — not just the last stage. The whole payoff is wiped. Knowing when to walk away is the skill of the system.
Can I heist while travelling?
No. You cannot start a new heist or continue an in-progress heist while travelling between districts. Finish your active heist before you travel, or wait until you arrive. The system blocks every action (start, cash out, push on) while in transit.
What can I earn from heists?
Successful heists can drop:

• Cash — the main payoff, scales with stage depth
• Vigilante Fragments — for character upgrades
• Rare equipment — from harder heists at deeper stages

Fragment drops respect the same roll system as crimes. Cash payouts grow sharply with each pushed stage, which is why the system is so tempting.
What happens if I fail a heist?
Depending on the heist and the stage you failed at, you may be sent to Hospital or Jail. Higher-tier heists have nastier fail states. The further you pushed before failing, the more you lose — both in cash and in time recovering.
The Drop
What is The Drop?
The Drop is a system for transferring items and gear directly between players. Use it to gift equipment, move gear to alts (where permitted), or hand off consumables to family members. Drops are tracked in logs for anti-abuse monitoring.
How do I use The Drop?
Open The Drop from the menu or from a player's profile via the Drop action button. Choose the recipient, select the items to transfer, and confirm. The recipient receives the items immediately. You can also pre-populate a recipient by opening The Drop from their profile directly.
