The Fifth Family is a persistent browser-based mafia RPG. Players start as street-level criminals and work upward through crimes, careers, heists, smuggling and espionage, aligning with one of five criminal families and competing in a world that keeps running while they are logged out.
The browser mafia genre goes back more than twenty years — Torn, Omerta, Mafia 1930, Mob Wars. The Fifth Family carries that lineage with a mobile-first interface, real-time PvP and a live-service release cadence. It was built from scratch in PHP and MySQL by a solo developer in Warrington, and has grown largely by word of mouth rather than paid acquisition.
Logo, key art, app icon and gameplay screenshots are available on request for editorial use, at full resolution and without watermarks. No permission needed — attribution to The Fifth Family is appreciated but not required.
