Referral Competition

Firstly, huge appreciation to Brspro, BigBUGSY & Jebustar on finishing in the Top 3 in the recent referral competition & a shoutout to the remainder of the Top 10. All rewards have been distributed.

A new round of the competition has just begun and runs for 30 days - the more active recruits you bring, the better your chances!

Referral Abuse

I unfortunately have to cover Referral abuse here today also. We have a range of tools and preventions in place that manage multi-accounting/fraudulent referrals within The Fifth Family - they're in place to keep the community fair & economy in-tact.
We use a range of indicators and flagging methods that point us in the right direction when reviewing referrals and potentially multi-accounts across the game and we're extremely strict when it becomes apparent that something illicit has gone on to protect as I said; the Community & Economy as well as the games integrity.

I'm raising this specifically because we have had to permanently ban a user for excessive referral abuse; even where the IP was not a flag - external factors gave us a solid indication that abusive referrals took place & leaderboards had been resynced to replicate legitimate results only. Refer fairly and refer to our TOS if you are not sure - actions like these do not have a chance to appeal.
