Two drops in one post: a performance pass to stop the game cooking laptops and mobiles, and a family fix.

Smoother, cooler, kinder to batteries

We chased down the reports of devices heating up. We've done a long needed optimisation pass that we hadn't done for a few weeks. The biggest win was a hidden minigame animation loop that was leaking whenever you tapped Home — quietly burning CPU for the rest of your session.

On top of that, name cosmetics, frames and auras now freeze the moment they scroll out of view and pick back up when you scroll back. On mobile, cosmetics would invisibly render and load when the chat wasn't open - this is the likely cause of devices heating fast.
We have also purged the whole global game cache - this might cause slightly inconsistent load times for the next hour but it will settle, apologies in advance on this one, but a necessary move.

Nothing changes visually. Things should just feel lighter. Any further issues, send in a bug ticket - the more data we receive on device types having any issues, the more visible the pattern to give more targeted fixes.
Laptop users, hard refresh so the new state takes effect. App users should also restart your game application so no old stale session is being maintained. No full device restarts or reinstalls required.

Leadership Votes

If your Don has been offline for 7+ days, any family member can now start a vote for a new one.

• Any member can hit the button — no rank requirement & the full roster at the time of vote opening is available to be voted for.
• Voting stays open for 24 hours. Most votes wins.
• The roster is frozen the moment the vote opens. Anyone recruited after that can't vote or be voted for.
• The old Don stays in the family, demoted to Capo.
• If the Don logs back in mid-vote, it doesn't stop. Inactivity is only checked at the start.

The Start Leadership Vote button appears at the top of your Family HQ whenever the conditions are met. It will only appear when 7 full days of inactivity occurs.
