Combat Update

Fairer fights. Defence that actually matters.

What's Changed

We've heard you — high-level combat has felt brutal. Too many fights ending in a single round, and Defence feeling like it barely did anything.

That's been reworked. As of now:

  • Hits land softer across the board — fights last longer and play out properly(that's the intention).
  • Defence is retuned to feel more worthy - previously at high end combat it felt worthless.
  • The one-round wipe is less common, we're still investigating Crits to see if we can further prevent this when there is less significant stat gaps.

First Strike is still here and still lands — that's a mechanic we want to keep. Crits are untouched too for now. This was about bringing the overall numbers back into line, not gutting anything. We're considering opening up fights so they no longer end after 10 rounds also - fight until the death likely being implemented soon once we see a better balance.

Arena Is Not Affected Yet

These changes are live for regular combat now. Arena is unaffected — the new combat balance will come into effect there at the start of the next Season, so current Arena runs play out under the rules you started them with.

We're Still Watching

This should bring a real, noticeable improvement — but combat review is ongoing. We'll keep assessing how fights feel with these changes in place and adjust further if needed. If something still feels off, tell us - there is a combat bug/balancing thread already in place by Mazulis in Discord, continue to feedback.
