May 1 Update: Quality of Life Improvements
QoL Update
A round of small but meaningful fixes from the last 24-48 hours.
Item Market — Buy in Part
You can now buy a portion of any consumable bulk listing instead of being forced to take the whole stack. Listing of 50 nerve tonics? Take 10 and leave the rest for someone else.
The Drop — Daily Counter Fix
Cancelled, declined and expired drops were being counted toward your daily 100-drop cap. They aren't anymore — only pending and accepted drops count.
Inventory — Locked Items
Locked items now stay out of your Equipment and Consumables tabs by default. They live in the Locked tab where they belong. Counters reflect unlocked items only — what you can actually use or sell — so you stop seeing inflated numbers.
The Fence and The Drop now also show a LOCKED badge on protected items rather than a sell/send button. No more accidental sales of items you specifically marked safe.
Crimes — Cash Display Now Honest
The MAX cash figure shown on each crime card was severely under-counting. It only included three of the bonuses the server actually applies on success — district mastery, collection bonus, and active consumables.
The server was correctly stacking everything else: bloodline perks, blood bond perks, family perks, career perks, referral tier bonuses, district crime modifiers, and city bonuses. Players were seeing "MAX $80,000" then receiving more and assuming something was broken.
The display now mirrors the actual reward formula. What you see is the maximum of what you'll receive rather than an overflow.
Casino — P/L Visible at a Glance
Two new stat cards on the casino lobby:
- Today's P/L — your net profit or loss across all five casino games today
- All Time P/L — your lifetime totals
Green for positive, red for negative.
Profile — VIP Expiry Visible to You Only
If you're a VIP, your own profile now shows how many days remain on your subscription, displayed as VIP · 47d (or whatever you have left).
When other players view your profile, they still just see VIP with no day count.
Chop Shop — Upgrade Buttons That Look Like Buttons
The vehicle stat boxes (Speed / Handling / Accel) were always upgrade buttons, but they looked exactly like read-only stat displays. Players were tapping them by accident and using cash. Other players didn't know the upgrade existed at all.
Both fixed in one go:
- Each stat now has a clearly visible ~+ $50,000 strip showing the upgrade cost
- Tapping opens a confirmation dialog telling you the new value before charging
- Maxed stats show MAX in green and aren't clickable
No more accidental upgrades. No more hidden features.
Thanks to everyone who suggested these QoL's.
