THE UNDERGROUND FORUM REOPENS

The forum was the most neglected place since launch. It was in huge need of a make over - something many of us avoided visiting and using because it was an eye sore and built no attachment for the community. That changes today.

- It looks like the game now. Gold, black and bone instead of the old grey.
- A sidebar that actually does something. Every section is one tap away from anywhere, with a live count of what's new in each. Below it: Top Contributors, ranked by posts over the last 30 days and Staff Online so you can see who's about.
- The front page shows what's happening. Instead of a list of sections you already know, you land on Latest — the twenty most recently active threads across the whole forum, with what's unread marked.
- Unread markers. Threads you haven't seen since their last reply are lit. Section counts tell you where the activity is. No more opening everything to find out.
- Not just browser first. Mobile has been given a huge compatibility update.
- Type @ and a name and pick from the list — the person gets an alert.
- Who's reading. Open a thread and you'll see who else is in it right now.
- Your avatar, your family tag and your VIP crown now show on every post and in every thread list.
- Report a post. A flag on anyone's post sends it straight to the moderators. Previously only the automatic filter could flag anything — now you can too.
- Share any post. Every post has a Link button that copies a direct URL — right page, right post.
- And the big one: the forum is now public. Guides and answers are readable by anyone, at (https://www.thefifthfamily.com/forum) — no account needed. Search engines can find them. Write a good guide and people will discover the game through it. Some categories are excluded from indexing intentionally.

As always - feel free to keep making further suggestions & improvements regarding the Forum, we want to make it a huge community space where all players can enjoy using it. We still have a few improvements to make over the coming days but the core is now in-place.
