April 20 Patch: Street Intel Crit Balance & Loot Drops

Street Intel — Balance Update

The Ghosts got too comfortable.

Some of you have been running Intel ops so clean that the streets started whispering — prestige doesn't even feel worth it. Every job a crit. Every cooldown a formality. That wasn't the game we built — that was the game breaking in your favour.

Today we're tightening it up — no rollbacks required, loot drops were never a guarantee so that's not necessary.

What changed

Critical Success is now earned, not guaranteed. Maxed-out operators will still be the best in the city. Crits will feel like crits.

  • Before: ~90%+ crit rate for fully maxed players
  • After: ~30% crit rate for fully maxed players
  • Lower-ranked players: no change — this only affects the top

Prestige just got better

We heard you — prestige wasn't paying off enough. So we're fixing that.

Every Prestige star now gives +3% loot drop chance on top of the existing +2% success bonus. At 5★, that's +15% drops and +10% success stacked permanently across every operation.

  • 0★ Ghost: baseline drops
  • 5★ Ghost: +15pp drop chance on every job
  • Stacks with The Fence (+15pp on high/extreme risk) — up to +30pp combined

Prestige is now a real endgame investment that pays off in both outcomes and loot.

Why

Keeps the endgame chase alive. Keeps the thrill in the roll. Keeps prestige meaningful. Keeps the streets competitive.

Shoutout to the Ghosts who gave feedback.
