May 14 Family Wars & Government Status

Family Wars · Coming Soon

The streets are about to change.

What's Coming

A new system is in active development. Families will be able to commit to a corner of the city, fight building by building for control, and ultimately compete for the highest seat in The Fifth Family.

This is the largest content drop since launch.

What We Can Say Now

  • Five districts — four corner battlegrounds and a central Mayor Hall prize worth more than any of them.
  • Twenty buildings to fight over. Five per corner district. Each one a named, claimable target.
  • Family commitment is final. Pick your corner carefully — you only get one each round.
  • Building combat blends timed claims and full PvP. Fast movers and brutal fighters will both have a path.
  • The winner of the centre becomes the Government. Real powers. Real consequences. Limited time. One Mayor across the whole game held for several days. 8 officials selected by the mayor to work amongst them - all of which give temporary buffs whilst you hold Mayor on that won round. As well as temporary de-buffs (8) for those the Mayor deems suitable - appoint a Secretary or Commander; and appoint traitors and fools.

Full mechanics, repair costs, season cadence and Government powers will be detailed in upcoming Gazette posts as the system enters internal testing early next week.

What This Means For You

Now is the time to strengthen your family. Recruit. Train. Build treasury. Family Wars will reward the prepared — not the loudest.

If you don't have a family yet, this is your last quiet stretch to find one or build one for the opening day when competitive play between families really heats up.

Who will be the first Mayor of The Fifth Family?
Coming late May.
