Spooky Spirit Higher or Lower

A brand new Halloween game is being introduced at day reset today (00:00 server time). Real-time live Player vs Player Higher or Lower with your spirits at stake.

Two Players. One Pot.
Both players wager the same ante: 1, 3, 5 or 10 Halloween Spirit. The starting pot is twice the ante (the total between both players combined). The server pairs players by ante in first-in-first-out order. You cannot pick an opponent.

Make your call
Each round uses a fresh 52-card deck and two different physical cards. Predict whether the hidden numerical card is HIGHER or LOWER than the face-up card. J = 11, Q = 12 and K = 13. Aces have no numerical value.

Exactly one correct guess wins the entire current pot. Both correct or both incorrect is a tie, with no pot change.

Aces change the pot
Colored Ace (Hearts or Diamonds): +1 Spirit.

Monochrome Ace (Spades or Clovers): −1 Spirit.

“Clovers” is the standard Clubs suit, not an extra suit.

A face-up Ace resolves immediately, with no choices. The hidden card is never revealed or applied in that round. A hidden Ace overrides both choices and resolves as a tie.

The clock & The Haunting
Both players share one 30-second deadline. Locked choices cannot change. If both players lock early, the reveal is immediate. Missing choices receive independent random Higher/Lower calls at the deadline. Refreshing or disconnecting never pauses the clock.

Ties have a 5-second presentation gap, outside the choice timer. At the start of Round 6 and every later round, The Haunting removes 1 Spirit before any cards are drawn. Every round counts, including Ace rounds and ties.

At zero, nobody wins
If the pot reaches zero, the match ends immediately. Both players lose, both receive 0, and the antes are not refunded. A Haunting zero-pot ending draws no cards.

Queue & payouts
Cancel while searching for a full ante refund. An unmatched entry expires and refunds after 5 minutes. Once paired, there is no cancellation, surrender, direct challenge or selected rematch. Closing the event refunds waiting players but does not stop active matches.

No house rake, Casino Odds bonus, Casino Payout multiplier or other account modifier applies. Positive pot events create Spirit; negative events remove it. The winner receives exactly the final pot, which can differ from the combined antes.

Fair play
One account per player. Using multiple accounts, or abusing Higher–Low or any other game system, including playing your own accounts against each other or arranging outcomes with another player, results in a full reset of your Halloween Spirit and leader board standing or a permanent ban. Every session is logged and as we have shown previously, we have a zero tolerance policy for these occurrence's.
