Season 1 Update: Birmingham Boys Battle Pass & Black Market Rework
The Birmingham Boys are coming.
Going live Monday 20th April @ 00:00 — two days to prepare.
A packed update on the way — Battle Pass Season 1 kicks off, Black Market gets a serious rework, consumables spread into new drop pools, and we've shipped a few strategic additions you've been asking for. Here's what's coming.
Battle Pass — Season 1: The Birmingham Boys
- 100 levels this season (double the usual 50) — plenty of runway to chase every reward.
- Themed rare items tied exclusively to the Birmingham Boys storyline — event-exclusive cosmetics and gear you won't see again.
- New vehicle reducing travel time by 20%, available inside the pass.
- Vigilante Fragments scattered through the reward tracks — grind it out and level your vigilantes alongside the pass.
Black Market — District Specialisation
The Black Market is being rebalanced so each district has its own unique item pool instead of the same consumables everywhere. This is a deliberate reduction in how many consumables are buyable per week.
Why? Because right now progression is trivialised by stockpiling vitality, stamina, energy and nerve restores. Pulling that back brings the grind back into the game where it belongs — you'll actually feel the weight of your decisions again.
Consumables in Loot Drops
To balance the Black Market change, consumables are now dropping from actual gameplay:
- Street Crimes
- Careers
- Heists
- Street Intel
Play the game, earn the tools. Simple.
District Mastery Bug — Resolved
A bug in the pre-April 16 crime system was silently inflating district mastery tiers without crediting the cash, Mafia Gold or XP you were owed. No one legitimately earned Gold or Platinum mastery during this window — the tier was a visual lie.
What we did:
- Rolled every affected mastery back to Bronze or Silver (whichever the data supported).
- Reset crime levels in the affected districts so progression resumes cleanly under the fixed code.
- Paid out compensation to 134 affected players — globally combined roughly $54,000,000 in cash plus ~20,000 Mafia Gold and ~125,000 XP distributed based on the tier each player reached. Check your Alerts for the breakdown specific to you.
- No rewards were clawed back from anyone. If the bug accidentally paid you more than it should have, that's on us — you keep it.
Apologies for the mess. Progression from here is clean.
New Item — Truce
A new strategic consumable landing in the inventory system:
- Activates a 1-hour protection window from all incoming attacks.
- Designed for use during wars or when you just need an uninterrupted planning hour.
- Attacking anyone breaks your Truce immediately — this is defensive only, not a free kill pass.
- Truces are rare and won't be handed out casually. Use them wisely.
Mafia Gold from Attacks — Cap Raised
The daily Mafia Gold cap from PvP attacks is going up from 120 to 200. More reward for active combat, more reason to stay aggressive.
See you Monday.
Battle Pass launches with the 20th April drop. Black Market rework rolls out alongside it. Lock in your loadout, stockpile your cash, and get ready.
